Happiest Baby Boy Family Photography Session in Delray Beach, FL

I use to be so scared to schedule family photography sessions (and especially scared to schedule newborn photography sessions) outside of the 'golden hour' (1 hour before sunset), I would explain to clients that I don't have equipment to deal with the harsh south florida lighting, etc... and I have to say that it is thanks to my two kids over the last year and a half, I have been docmenting Kate and Emma's days, in the middle of any kind of light, no light, too much mid-day light, and now its all I do.

I ain't afraid of no harsh south florida sun.

It is amazing how my own girls have had such a huge impact on my life as a photographer :)

When these amazing moms asked if morning is ok because that's when their little man is happiest, I was like yeah of course! 

Baby photography is one of my favorites!!! But I always always insist that it has to be family portaits... even though all my families know that my work has been drifting into documentary photography sessions / photojournalism, and I do less and less portraiture and posing these days and allow my families to really spend quality time with their littles during my photoshoots. 

I think that can be tough to do as a beach photographer, especially when families are not regular beach goers. So I have gotten really creative with looking for new locations as a south florida newborn photographer, and family photographer. A few days ago I ventured out with this amazing little family of three into a local nature trail...

This family means so much to me. I was their birth photographer.  

I was with them for.... over 20 hours of labor, I love these two so so dearly and it felt crazy and amazing to see Easton after 7 months...

he is the sweetest, chunkiest, happiest little boy!!!

Breastfeeding is Special - Boca Raton Breastfeeding Photographer

Everything changed about my photography when I gave birth to my first daughter. I realized the love I have for her is unparalleled in this world! Becoming a mother is so life changing. Motherhood brings with it so many challenges, but the beauty and love that comes pouring into our lives is truly something no one can ever see coming. It just floods our hearts suddenly one day and we are never the same after that moment. It is an honor to be a woman and a mother! Breastfeeding is such a special relationship we get the privilege of sharing with our little ones. It is not always easy, but it is always from the heart. I love each and every single one of my breastfeeding sessions.

Janessa & Ariella - Boca Raton Breastfeeding Photographer

Every time Janessa & her precious smiley Ariella show up to a shoot with me, I am in for a treat. 

I ABSOLUTELY adore documentary photography, and I love capturing it indoors! I am like a fly on the wall zooming in and out onto special moments. But outdoor documentary... I am just learning. It's hard to break the ice and be creative and fun when you know someone is 'documenting you' and it is just stretches of sand with no couch to snuggle on or toys to play with. Janessa and her daughter make my transition into documentary photography outdoors easy. They arrive with smiles and excitement. Their energy and happiness is contagious, suddenly I get even more energetic and bubbly. And then with each frame, I feel like I'm capturing a cover for cosmo. Janessa is calm and collected, focused and radiant. Ariella is perfect in every shot.

Today Janessa brought her mama, Roxanne, with her to the shoot. This was truly special and so much fun for me!
