Everything changed about my photography when I gave birth to my first daughter. I realized the love I have for her is unparalleled in this world! Becoming a mother is so life changing. Motherhood brings with it so many challenges, but the beauty and love that comes pouring into our lives is truly something no one can ever see coming. It just floods our hearts suddenly one day and we are never the same after that moment. It is an honor to be a woman and a mother! Breastfeeding is such a special relationship we get the privilege of sharing with our little ones. It is not always easy, but it is always from the heart. I love each and every single one of my breastfeeding sessions.

Tiffany is a beautiful soul inside and out. She is an incredible mama who is so dedicated to her boys. We were pregnant together and attending some 'yoga birthing' classes together. It has been a truly special year for both of us. These images of her and her boys truly inspired me and filled my heart with joy. It is incredible that we as mamas as we prepare for our births and our new journeys parenting two children, how we can come together in support and love of one another. 

When I am shooting... I hold up my camera to my right eye. I wait for something very particular before I click the shutter. It's not the moment where everyone is looking at my camera. It's not a perfect smile... I patiently stand (or squat) and wait to see "that look" that every mom gets... sooner or later during every shoot... that look that shows the fiery love a woman has for the children she gave life to. And then I snap it into a frozen record for all of time.

Boca Family - Boca Raton Family Photographer

My friendship with Cyndie really changed my entire life. I don't mean for that to sound so cliche, but it totally did. I had just had my first daughter and she had her second baby, a boy. We were both needing a 'mama tribe' we just didn't know it. Maybe I don't seem so at first, but I have totally completely been an introverted shy person my whole life! So it was SO hard to motivate myself to go out and meet a bunch of random moms with kids we didn't know, until I met Cyndie!! We motivated each other to go out to that first meetup. And from there, literally everything in my life has changed! Meeting all those kind, like minded moms, my life has never been fuller. I feel like I am always remembered, thought of, supported, and never alone! You go through so much as a parent, and it is so hard to do all of that without a mama tribe. I love this family so much. They fill this world with such joy!

Janessa & Ariella - Boca Raton Breastfeeding Photographer

Every time Janessa & her precious smiley Ariella show up to a shoot with me, I am in for a treat. 

I ABSOLUTELY adore documentary photography, and I love capturing it indoors! I am like a fly on the wall zooming in and out onto special moments. But outdoor documentary... I am just learning. It's hard to break the ice and be creative and fun when you know someone is 'documenting you' and it is just stretches of sand with no couch to snuggle on or toys to play with. Janessa and her daughter make my transition into documentary photography outdoors easy. They arrive with smiles and excitement. Their energy and happiness is contagious, suddenly I get even more energetic and bubbly. And then with each frame, I feel like I'm capturing a cover for cosmo. Janessa is calm and collected, focused and radiant. Ariella is perfect in every shot.

Today Janessa brought her mama, Roxanne, with her to the shoot. This was truly special and so much fun for me!

Expecting Baby Boy - Boca Raton Birth Photographer

Back in the first week of July, I was 9 months pregnant in the crazy heat of our Florida summers when I met up with the absolutely gorgeous, like minded mama Ashley and her hubby David and their lovely little Alexandra for a family - breastfeeding - maternity shoot on Delray Beach! What an epic trio in one! Despite the tropical climate, this family pulled of my absolutely favorite sessions to date, the colors, the love and connection are just jaw dropping! 

Ashley and I shared part of our pregnancies together and she is due in about three weeks with her baby boy, and I just birthed my little girl Emma, my second daughter a few weeks ago, so we were just 3 months and 2 days apart in our pregnancies! It was fun being apart of a facebook pregnancy mama group together, sharing our pregnancy experiences and tough days, and our bump selfies! What a totally different experience from my first pregnancy where I was definitely lacking that mother tribe support system. 

I cannot tell you how ecstatic I was to photograph her gorgeous family. When the stars align and you have the perfect sunset, a gorgeous family, and that lucky week where the seaweed that washed ashore is still perfectly golden, it is just heaven. 

Three and a half months later, my little girl is 2 months old and Ashley is one month away from her due date. I invited Ashley to join me for a day of celebrating motherhood with other special mamas for mini sessions in East Boca Raton. 

This mama rocked her shoot just 4 weeks shy of her due date, look at how radiant she is! And my goodness how incredibly big has Alexandra gotten in just the matter of 3 1/2 months! I feel like every single shot speaks to the incredible love and gentleness they have as parents.
